If you live in an area where the water is hard, then you may need to use slightly more shampoo to get the same results, as hard water can reduce the amount of lather that shampoo produces. Rub your palms together to create a lather. Next, massage the shampoo into your hair and scalp, making a circular motion with your fingers. Use moderate pressure when massaging the shampoo into your scalp to stimulate blood flow and therefore improve the health of your hair. For best results, spend at least a minute massaging the shampoo into your scalp. This gives the shampoo enough time to work its way deep into your scalp and hair follicles, cleaning out built-up oil and dirt. Rinse it thoroughly with warm water from the shower to remove all traces of lather. Your hair will be left feeling smooth, soft, and silky, without being weighed down.
